For the past 13 weeks, The Boston Harbor Hotel at Rowes Wharf has had the privilege of hosting some of the most astounding and eclectic masters of the wine industry and we have been humbled by the talent and dedication that has graced our premises. Alas, all good things come to an end, and the 2012 Boston Wine Festival is no exception. Presenting our final week:
Failla Wines brings to the festival a collection of elegant and balanced wines from the Napa Valley. Produced with minimal intervention and small batch fermentation, Ehren Jordan & Anne-Marie Failla’s winery has quickly gained notoriety and praise.
Enjoy a rare opportunity to savor the rich and concentrated single-vineyard zinfandels and petite syrahs from Turley Wine Cellars, presented by winemaker Ehren Jordan.
Sean Thackrey brings the Festival to its close with a flourish and just a little help from the stars. With his unusual approach of letting his grapes “rest” at least 24 hours outside, under the stars is well-known and is one of many approaches that sets him apart from other winemakers. The wines, named after constellations, utilize many grape varietals from cabernets and sirah to unnamed field blends. We welcome you to take advantage of this fantastic finale with Thackrey & Co.!
The 2012 Boston Wine Festival concludes with a celebration of some of the year’s favorite wines as well as a preview of wineries to come in 2013, when we will celebrate the 24th Annual Boston Wine Festival. While enjoying this stellar selection of wines, you will savor a signature buffet of white and red wine inspired dishes created by Chef Daniel Bruce.
