Viewed by over 600,000 people every year, the South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at the Broadway T Station and ends at Andrew Square in South Boston. Since 1901, the parade has become an integral part of South Boston’s history.
Throughout the whole month of March, Irish events are o’plenty, from top entertainment acts from Ireland, local bands, Irish bread bake-offs and corn beef & cabbage dinners at nearly every restaurant.
There is also an array of places to visit after the parade: Walk along the city’s Irish Heritage Trail, visit the JFK Library or stroll through the Irish Cultural Centre.
