A Day on the Greenway
The Greenway, just a skip across from the hotel, is shaping up to be the hot spot of the summer with an abundance of activities occurring daily. On Saturday (this weekend, or any Saturday through October!), head down to the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy to enjoy a variety of mobile food vendors at the Greenway Mobile Eats or to check out the talented artists, crafters and independent designers at the Greenway Open Market.
Last week, the Greenway Conservancy brought to Boston a beautiful, monumental sculpture, As If It Were Already Here, from internationally renowned local artist, Janet Echelman. The public grand opening is taking place on Monday, May 11th from 7-9pm under the sculpture, featuring music, food trucks and Mayor Marty Walsh. Don’t miss it! Annual Duckling Day Parade- Mother’s Day
Boston’s Duckling Day Parade provides the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day, commemorating Robert McCluskey’s classic children’s book, ‘Make Way for Ducklings’, set here in Boston and made even more special by the ‘Make Way for Ducklings’ statues in the Public Garden. The parade begins at 12:00pm at the Boston Common where you’ll retrace the steps taken by Mr. and Mrs. Mallard and their own flock of 8 young ducklings. Mayor Marty Walsh will be on hand to welcome moms and young ducklings, and massage therapists will be on hand to offer free mini-massages to honor the moms!

Have a great weekend, and Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there!
